This is an authentic style Italian tiramisu made with mascarpone, ladyfingers, and espresso. It’s completely make-ahead, so it’s great for parties where you want to get as much done ahead of time as possible.

I omit the egg and only use mascarpone and whipped heavy cream. I Don't like the strong taste of coffee so instead, I use dutch processed cocoa, vanilla and water as the dunking liquid. Is my version and it is so good.

YUM! Wish you had cut into it and taken out a piece, so we could see the finished product. Also the custard looked more liquid than I would have expected (and seen elsewhere), so I was really looking forward to seeing how it set. Also, did you do one layer of Lady Fingers, or more? Thanks!

Hi Fifteen Spatulas. I just came across your video as I am looking for a Tiramisu Recipe. I have a question…I noticed you did not heat your egg yoke and sugar mixture when you were mixing them together. I've seen on two other site they heat the egg yoke/sugar mixture. Is there a reason you didn't heat this mixture. Thank you for posting your informative cooking video.
