Lasagna is a classic and delicious meal that can be enjoyed on any occasion. To make this mouth-watering dish, you’ll need a few ingredients, including ground beef, young sausage, tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, chopped onions, chopped garlic, bay leaves, brown sugar, salt and pepper, fresh basil, fresh parsley, cooking wine, beef broth, ricotta cheese, eggs, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese.
Begin by cooking the meat in hot olive oil and breaking it up as much as possible to develop some color. Next, add the onions and garlic and season with salt and pepper. After stirring in the tomatoes, add the beef broth, cooking wine, sugar, and fresh basil and let it simmer for about two hours.
While the sauce is cooking, cook the pasta in salted water for ten minutes. For the cheese filling, mix together the ricotta cheese, eggs, salt, pepper, fresh parsley, and Parmesan cheese.
When the sauce is done, it will have developed a rich color. To assemble the lasagna, spray a cooking pan with cooking spray and add a layer of sauce to the bottom. Then, add a layer of pasta and let the pasta overlap each other. Spread the cheese filling evenly and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. Repeat this process until all the ingredients have been used up.
Finally, cover the lasagna with tin foil and bake in a 350-degree oven for 45 minutes. After that, sprinkle on some more mozzarella cheese and bake uncovered for another 15 minutes.
Your lasagna is now ready to be enjoyed! The melted cheese and bubbly texture will tantalize your taste buds, and the combination of the wine, herbs, beef broth, and seasonings will elevate the taste to a whole new level. You won’t be able to resist the amazing aroma and taste of this delicious meal.
U killed it with ricotta π
Why did you add the cheese to the lasagna at the last minute before it was done & not at the beginning?
