This isn't a matter of culture, guy. Apparently you missed what you did just before and are doing now. You criticized someone for being American based on their use of canola oil, while the video we are having the comment conversation in is made by an American who is using olive oil and not canola oil. Why do I need to explain this to you? And no, this isn't culture. This is taste. I'm an American who uses EV olive oil. Nothing about nationality has anything to do with it. Move along.
The person who made the video is obviously American and they used olive oil. So what does nationality have to do with the person who you commented to for using canola oil.
the stream of oil is meant to emulsify the dressing. Not to incorperate the ingredients im 16 and i know that
@DeluxeGoldTop I am aware of sugar etc, blood sugar. The only time I use canola oil is in salad dressings.I've never had any canola oil go rancid on me.I do use some olive oil with balsamic vinegar when I dip bread in it.
@HattieLovesCattie Do you mean to say that olive oil makes people fat? This is not true. Fat/Oil does not make people fat. High insulin levels which are triggered by high levels of sugar in the blood is what causes people to store fat on their body.
The truth is that there is no long term studies done on the effects of canola oil, because it is new to the human diet. It has GRAS status. But seems much more prone to rancidity. Check out that link, it could save your life.
@DeluxeGoldTop Olive oil is fattening.I am not Italian so I don't like the taste of olive oil.The ligher ones aren't too bad.At least I'm not using peanut oil.
@HattieLovesCattie Canola oil is much worse for you than olive oil. Read "the great con-ola" on mercola.com
I can't use olive oil in my dressings.I just don't care for the taste that much.I prefer canola oil which is healthier anyway.
Tahks!
Sounds Good.
