Cooking with Nonna Giacomina in Mola di Bari, (Puglia) Italy – Rossella’s Cooking with Nonna (VIDEO)
This is a show I filmed in Mola di Bari (Puglia), Italy, when I visited Nonna Giacomina and together we cooked a very traditional dish from Mola: Cucuzze, Patate e Fave – Butternut Squash, Potatoes and Fava Beans.

I loved peeking into this ladys kitchen and and seeing what shes cooking, the different knives she uses, the little gadgets like the spinning onion cutter, going to get groceries in the neighborhood. I dont know why but its just so interesting!
Viva siamo molesi DOC😍
By far this is the best episode you have done. Not only a good cooking show, it is a window into the subleties of Italian life. This is grass roots Italian cooking in a real working home kitchen. It would be great if you could do more like this. It must have been exhilarating to be so tall.
This video is good for learning Italian I am hearing some of the words I learn.
Pesca = peach
Brutte = ugly
Scusa = excuse me for feminine
I love Italian food.
Love the old man!!! You know he probably taught nonna a thing or two in the kitchen. Acts like he don't know nothing but when it's not proper he'll say something funny!! I understand Nonna preddy good. Nice!!! Grazie Mille!!!
thanks to you and Nono for sharing video really enjoyed the trip to the market!
"Ma quando costano queste patate? "– 1,00 Euro.– "Madonna Io ho -,80 centi". She is dying to pay one dollar for few potatoes?….😂Okay nice video mi piace la nonna e come cucina…bel cibo.
Where I'm from & most of my family still lives! I miss all my cugini & tutti zia/zio. My Nonnas & Nonnos lived & passed there. It's so nice to connect on this level. My Zio has a fish boat/fish business! I love she speaks the dialect! Love the Mercato! I also have the same knives! Pane & Pomodoro sei molto bene!
Ciao a tutti, mio primo commento! La pace è migliore della guerra
The woman's husband sounds a bit like Vito Corleone.
la puglia é bellissima , Rossella sei brava -;)
I like this episode because it is a window into real Italian family life. You don't see this as a tourist. Do you have more episodes made in Italy?
organized kitchen..
Thoroughly enjoyed this episode…from shopping in the market place to the cooking of the food. Beato Franco che puo mangiare un piatto di pasta e aumentare di peso.
11:51 – Knife skills.
Rosella, I love the fact that you're keeping the traditions alive in the old school cooking techniques showcasing these national treasures that are our Nonnas! As people become more reliant on prepared foods, there is a risk that our nonna's ways in the kitchen will be lost forever! Your show is keeping the traditions alive, and as a soon to be nonna myself, I feel it's important to teach my granddaughter how to be self-reliant in making her own food.
Nice to watch…Thxs Rossella for a natural kitchen..
