The Mugelicious Recipe for Purrfectly Thick Italian Hot Chocolate
Servings: 1 mug
INGREDIENTS:
350 ml (1.5 cup) of milk
150 gr (5.25 oz) of dark chocolate
15 gr (0.5 oz) cocoa powder
2 tspn cornflour
6 tspn sugar Nutella for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Turn your mug upside down and dip them in Nutella. Chop the dark chocolate. Set the saucepan over medium heat and add the milk, broken dark and milk chocolate until small bubbles appear around the edges. Do not allow the mixture to boil.
2. In a small saucepan sift the cocoa powder and the cornstarch. Then, add sugar and salt. Mix it together.
3. Add about 3-4 tablespoons of milk and stir well to combine. Add gradually the rest of the milk.
4. Cook over low-medium heat often whisking it until simmering. At this point, add the chopped chocolate stirring continuously until the chocolate is completely smooth and thickened. It should stick to the spoon.
