How to Make Supplì, or Cheese Stuffed Rice Balls | Pasta Grannies (VIDEO)
Supplì are one of Rome’s favourite snacks: deep fried balls of tomato flavoured risotto, stuffed with oozing mozzarella. They’re totally delicious and easy to make – and Pasqualina shows us how.
Sooo making these this weekend!
Out of curiosity, how is this different from arancini?
Something I'd To try 😋
These are some of their best street food in Rome!
I had this in rome last summer and mamma mia it's heavenly delicious. i can now make authentic italian dish through Pasta Grannies
Lovely lady !
Is the ragu just tomato sauce on top of the rice?
What a great recipe dish, i could honestly make a meal of these instead of just a snack, they look so deloicious and filling.
My uncle adds to the rice Lemon zest and nutmeg and another chees called "galbanino", the difference is remarkable, trying to believe they are even more delicious
This looks a lot like our family recipe of arancini. My grandparents moved from Sicilia to the Netherlands but some recipes stayed in the family. I try to preserve them.
Omg these look delicious. If I could lick my mobile phone to taste them I would! These are going on my list to be made maybe tomorrow! Thanks Pasta Grannies and Vicky!
Great vid ! How long does she cook the rice for ? How much rice and water are used ?
Thank you! Totally going to love this when I make it! 💖
Yum!!! Thank you for all these wonderful videos, keep up the good work (and good lighting!!)
I love all your videos but this is the most important one, as I miss the suppli I had in Rome! Thank you so much! A big hug, from Italy 🙂
Another week, another greatness, as expected, nothing less from Pasta Grannies. Looks really tasty, I can't wait to make some as I never try Supplì before~ yummmm
Amazing! I wanted to say those suppli were 'unctuous' but I looked up the real meaning (see link)…rather, I wanted to say they would be the deep-fried treat of choice for me! I suspect that if you fried the rice balls at the right temperature, they wouldn't absorb a lot of oil….
I digress…
Thanks
Tony
