Grandma’s Authentic Italian Meatballs and Sauce (VIDEO)
Finally! A video with my 84 year old grandma Tina from Sicily. She has been making this recipe with her mother since she was a young girl, first in Italy, then in New York City. Ever since I was a young girl, we went to grandma’s house on Sundays to have grandma’s Italian meatballs and sauce. Now you can make some, too! Don’t forget to add the fresh basil to the sauce. Mmm!

Great recipe like the one my grandmother had (Maria was from Enna in Scilly), I just changed the recipe a bit, I bake the meatballs instead of frying for about half an hour then add to the sauce. Thank you this video, loved it!

If you want a truly good meatball, deep fry it for 3 minutes and then put it in the sauce with a little of the cooking oil. Mama Mia! You get more of an oomph when you deep fry vs shallow fry IMHO.
