Im sure its,tasty and maybe a Northern Italy way, but my mom and,all my aunts n uncles,were Sicilian and never made lasagna like this. We didnt eat alot of lasagna anyway. Saturday my mom would start her GRAVY, her meatballs were insane. Id help her roll them, shed fry them with a nice brown crust on the outside and drop them in the,gravy. She'd also drop a browned pork roast in. The pot of gravy my mom made was humongous! She'd feed anybody who walked in the door. Simple salad with her vinigrette, and a platter of meatballs, sausage and a pork roast and hard boiled eggs adorned the table. 2 maccaronis, Rigatoni and spaghetti. Once in a while homemade raviolis and rigatonis. I loved Sundays in my house growin up! Families need those traditions today, carry on the recipes and keep the loved ones alive in spirit and speak of them often. Dont forget the vino for the table. Even kids get a little. My mom always poured me a small glass of wine. When i became a teen guess who didnt care to drink alcohol like the rest of her friends? That's right. Wine made blood, beer put a lining in the stomach. Mom would put a little whiskey in my coffee for my long walks to school on snowy days and if i was real thirsty and there was nothin to drink she'd say open a bottle of your father's beer n have a few sips. Id say EWWW NOOO. lol. To this day i dont care much for any alcohol. Ill take an icy cold coke or homemade lemonade or iced tea.
Bolognese gravy, mozzarella, ricotta, but you can use a couple layers betchamel sauce but without the pecorino romano and mozzarella, and ricotta you dont have a true lasagna.
NEVER EVER PUT OIL IN THE WATER WHEN COOKING PASTA! THATS A RULE!

I need an Italian husband! I have no family and I always wanted to be part of a large family and I like how you can show that people across the dinner table and then hug them once you've had dessert. You fight but you all still have each other's back and right now nobody has my back except George my cat. 🙂
I prefer using passata. I lived in Italy for a few years and had a lot of good lasagna! Before I ever went there 10 years before I move there I was making a lasagna that looks exactly like this one you're doing but I'm Scottish and a six foot tall blond I can't be a mob wife but I could be a mob mistress I guess! LMAO :-). See I like a bechamel much better than sloppy ricotta! White sauce or greens without nutmeg is like a day without sunshine. Everybody thinks lasagna takes hours I just heard two ladies say that in two different recipes. They were making lasagna soup because it takes hours to make lasagna. If I am organized I can get my lasagna in the oven in 30 minutes it's not a difficult thing to do people just don't do it so they don't dare do it! Yes it is a science not to put too much so that it won't stick together. I just heard him say it's going to hold the lasagna together. See a few smart people watch your Channel. 😉

I think of lasagna as cheesy. My family recipe uses cottage cheese, Parmesan, and mozzarella. So – this is different than what I am used to.
